Artist’s Statement:
The wind turbine farms that I see as I travel back and forth for my fabric and bead store in Iowa. The turbines are silent and majestic as they collect clean energy in the midst of wild flowers and farm crops.
Awarded "First Place" in Project Patchwork Challenge.
This quilt was created as part of Project Patchwork, a partnership between IKEA and Textile Center. Artists were challenged to make an art quilt using only IKEA fabrics.
