Artist’s Statement:
The instant I saw the fabric sample at the initial meeting I wanted to get my hands on it. The flower, vine, and fruit images were new coloring book pages just waiting to be embellished.
This quilt was created as part of Project Patchwork, a partnership between IKEA and Textile Center. Artists were challenged to make an art quilt using only IKEA fabrics. Proceeds from the sale of these quilts go to benefit the Textile Center's Youth Education Programs. See the right sidebar on this page to learn more about the project.
