Artist’s Statement:
The fabrics I received did not coordinate, so I chose to make four individual quilts. I designed the construction so one quilt shows while three are stored. Three of the quilts can be shown in two orientations.
This quilt was created as part of Project Patchwork, a partnership between IKEA and Textile Center. Artists were challenged to make an art quilt using only IKEA fabrics. Proceeds from the sale of these quilts go to benefit the Textile Center's Youth Education Programs. See the right sidebar on this page to learn more about the project.
